Hey Mate is a social enterprise providing specialist Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), mental health support, workplace wellbeing and education for Australia’s arts, music, screen, entertainment, performing arts and creative industries
Our approach
Our team brings together counsellors, psychologists, social workers and educators with clinical expertise and genuine experience across the creative industries.
We understand that creative work comes with its own realities — from freelance and project-based careers to touring, performance pressure, irregular hours, workplace challenges and the uncertainty that can come with making a living creatively. That means people don’t have to spend half the conversation explaining their industry before getting the support they need.
As a social enterprise, we provide evidence-based, creative-industry-informed mental health and wellbeing support through counselling, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), workplace wellbeing, training, education and tailored programs.
At the heart of our approach is something pretty simple: helping people feel better, work well and build healthier creative communities..
